Home Videos

I do not have many pictures of me when I was a baby because my parents spent most of their time videoing me instead. I am so glad they spent the time to record so many things of me and my siblings while we were growing up. I love going home and watching our old home videos. Growing up I used to pull them out like every Sunday to watch them. My siblings would get so annoyed, but I loved watching them and seeing me as a baby. It is so cool to watch me grow up in the videos. I don't actually remember many of the things happening, but one of my birthdays, I think my second birthday, my parents have a recording of my brothers pushing my face into my birthday cake and then of course I started screaming. For many years I blamed one of my brothers for it because I thought he was the only one who pushed me into the cake. I was actually really mad about it, even though I do not actually remember it happening. Then one time when I was about 12 I watched the video again and I realized that both of my brothers pushed my head, not just one of them. I was grateful that I was able to finally realize that I was wrong and that it was ridiculous to be mad about it anyways since I was two and don't even remember it happening other than watching the video. I had a grudge for a long time over nothing. I am so grateful for home videos and I hope to take many home videos of my children growing up as well.
