The Good Social Media Can Do

This past week I was able to witness an amazing thing happen through social media. My sister and brother in law, Kendra and Mark, have been suffering with infertility for almost five years now. It has been really difficult for them and for our whole family. They are so deserving of children. It is so hard to see such a righteous desire of their heart not happen. They have had two failed IVF procedures with countless other infertility treatments and procedures. Nothing has worked. The IVF procedures are extremely expensive but they feel like they need to give it one last try. Some of their sweet friends surprised them with an auction in their behalf to help raise money for their medical bills since they have to pay completely out of pocket for everything. 100% of the money made in the auction will be going to Kendra and Mark. The auction was on Friday through Instagram. There were 75 items donated to help with the auction. Most of the people who donated items did not know Kendra and Mark, but they wanted to help out in their journey. It was such an amazing experience to witness the auction. So many of their friends, family, and even strangers were bidding on all the different items. Most every item people bid way over what the item was even worth just to help Kendra and Mark. Everyone was so generous. I was overcome with all of the love everyone has for Kendra and Mark. They are some of the sweetest and most caring people I know. This auction made me realize all the good that social media can have.

  3. Oh this is so happy! My cousin and her husband have been trying to get pregnant for 12 years and she is now, FINALLY, having a baby! She is due next month! :) God always provides a way, but in different ways for different people and different situations.
